Alex Weiss has been playing saxophone for 35 years. He's played and recorded with artists such as John Tchicai, Wadado Leo Smith, Bertram Turetsky, Ches Smith, Marco Ineidi, Glen Spearman and many others. Alex is now leading and writing for his new quintet, Glad Irys, with Dan Blake: soprano sax, Yana Davydova: guitar, Dmitry Ishenko: bass and Ches Smith: drums.
